The BEST KiteWorldWide Camp in Cape Town and more…

BEST KiteWorldWide Camp stands for a full week of kitesurfing as its best in the “Mother City” Cape Town. Present were eight highly motivated camp participants as well as the two time world champion Youri Zoon and “the man that touched the sky” Lewis Crathern. He was the one jumping over the Brighton Pier. Adding to this we had lots of sun, plenty of wind and of course the new range of BEST Kiteboarding Equipment. It was not only kitesurfing but rather having an awesome time with the pros and enjoying the wonderful locations.

Our first test of the collective camp week of BEST and KiteWorldWide couldn’t have been better. On schedule was kitesurfing with the pros, having fun, spotguiding, special trainings, shooting videos and video analysis, photo shootings and the new BEST kiteboarding equipment was with us all the time. Apart from that there were workshops for technical stuff, material science, mental and physical fitness. Kiting was not only right in front of the Mansion but also at the famous spot Langebaan and a secret dam in the vineyards. And of course we couldn’t miss out the downwinders..

The cherry on the topping was that everybody stayed together in the KiteWorldWide Mansion Cape Town in Sunset Beach.

With a cool beer in our tortured hands we enjoyed the beautiful sunset at Sunset Beach. The barbecue in the garden was fired up on a regular basis and together with the Best team and numerous special guests we discussed a lot about the new gear, the philosophy of kiteboarding and of course raved over the last days on the water.

But this is not enough of testing for us. It is to be continued with the WaveKite Camp in Cape Town from March, 9th – 15th with Pedro Henrique, surf junior world champion. He brings along years of experience in pro surfing and is now an ambitious wave kiter. He is the first professional surfer that started a serious kitesurfing career.

There are several other event weeks already planning. We are currently talking to the riders about when to schedule them. Amongst others we are planning on camps in Tarifa, Fuerteventura, Kenia, Sansibar and Brazil. For further information visit our homepage.
