Kite equipment

In our KiteWorldWide course packages, wetsuit and kite material are already included. The kite material includes a kiteboard suitable for beginners, the right sizekite, harness, leash and kite bar.

During the kite course, you will not only learn how to kite, but your instructor will also teach you everything you need to know about the equipment, its construction and what to look out for when buying it. If you are looking for a kiteboard, kite bar or kite suitable for beginners after your course, then take a look at our shop. There you will not only find new equipment, but also well-preserved used material in the refurbished category.

Wetsuit and wetsuit shoes

To ensure that you are well protected from the cold and UV rays in the water, you should definitely get a wetsuit. There are many types and models, e.g. long and thick wetsuits that keep you warm and allow you to spend many hours in the water, or shorties for the warmer kite spots. If you want to learn kitesurfing in a warm spot like Brazil or Sri Lanka, then all you really need is a pair of board shorts or a bikini. To protect you from the sun, we recommend a Lycrashirt, which is super comfortable and light on the skin, dries quickly and protects you from UV rays.

We also recommend neoprene shoes! They protect your feet from stones, nasty shells, bumps and also from cooling down.

Harness

At the beginning of your kiteboarding career, it is not easy to hold the kite - this is where the harness comes in handy. At the beginning of the kite course, your instructor will explain all the safety features of the harness for an optimal introduction to kiting. Advanced kiteboarders change to a waist harness when they have enough experience.

Sunglasses and waterproof sunscreen

Especially in the beginning, you look a lot in the direction of the kite, which means upwards and usually also in the direction of the sun. To protect your eyes from the sun's rays and make it easier for you to learn kitesurfing, we recommend outdoor sunglasses. The advantage of water sports sunglasses is that they fit better and are usually equipped with an extra rubber strap and a floatie. So if the glasses do fall off, they simply float on the surface of the water and aren't lost!

On the water, the sun's rays are even stronger due to the reflection, so make sure you use good sun protection for your skin. The sunscreen should be waterproof and at best environmentally friendly, so that we can all continue kiting in beautiful waters for a long time to come.
