Gisela Pulido new World Champion with winning the Beetle Kitesurf World Cup in St. Peter Ording!

Gisela claimed the title once again at the Beetle Kite World Cup in St. Peter Ording. Winning this stop of the PKRA Tour  marks the eight world cup title for the 17 year-old kiter from Tarifa.

Congratulations from the whole KiteWorldWide Team!

We are especially excited that she spent her last – and apparently very successful – training session for this year at our KiteWorldWide Lodge in Kenya. From the middle of [singlepic id=874w=300 h=200  float=left]February to the middle of March, she enjoyed perfect training conditions here. Apart from the awesome kiting conditions, she also had enough time to relax and get herself mentally prepared for the next season. It obviously helped her out a lot.

This girl is exceptionally gifted. She was born in Premia de Mar (Barcelona) in 1994. She won her first prize in water sports in swimming (Junior Champion 50m Butterfly).

In 2001, Gisela got onto a kiteboard for the first time, and after that there was no holding her back. She is most comfortable on her 9m² Airush Razor and prefers to ride twin tip shapes. Her favorite kiting spot is Rio Jara in Tarifa.

When she’s not cruising around the world, she lives in Tarifa where she has her own kite school and others are planned for the future. If you decide to go to Tarifa with KiteWorldWide, you will get the chance to go to the Gisela Pulido Pro Center. [singlepic id=871w=300 h=200  float=left]

Before Gisela and her father headed off to the Beetle Kite World Cup in St. Peter Ording, they had a short stopover in Hamburg. She visited us in our office, and we learned a little more about their plans for the future over a relaxed dinner. This year, a new kite and surf shop is going to be opened in Barcelona while expansions of the kite schools in other areas are planned. In 20 Up, the two were able to enjoy a night view of the Hamburg skyline. [singlepic id=878w=300 h=200  float=left]The next day, we took them to Miniature Wonderland – an exposition of the largest model trains from around the world and different mini models of parts of famous places. She especially liked the miniature kiters. Then they continued on to St. Peter Ording where she won her next title.

The KiteWorldWide Team would like to congratulate Gisela and wish her all the best for the future.[singlepic id=877w=300 h=200  float=left]
