This year the ‘Safari do Brasil’ in cooperation with the team from ‘Kiteboarding Events’ takes place once again. The boys and girls with whom we already worked together in Sicily and South Africa, revealed many times how to organize great kite events. This team is full of Brazil experts who have organized the ‘Safari do Brasil’ for years. They take you to the best spots in the North-East of the country.

The safari starts in the long lagoon of Taiba, north of Cumbuco and ends in Preà where the Caipi mile is waiting for tired kitesurfers.

When you join us on our Kite Surf Safari in Brazil, you can say goodbye to the crowded beaches and mass tourism. You will say hello to expansive flatwater lagoons and pristine northeast beaches, scouted for you by our pros. With no more than 12 guests per tour, you will endless space to fly over the water. Since life is a journey, why not ride it with style? What better way of travelling can you think of than with your kite? That’s right, we will travel by kite along the beaches of Northeast Brazil, while the 4X4 truck follows us close by, while we are kiting on the ocean until the next flat water lagoon. The Safari is suited for intermediates and advanced kitesurfer. Viva Brasil!

Route

The 2018 Safaris take you via downwind to the most amazing spots in Northern Brazil. A shallow lagoon in Taiba, our insider Itaqui or the beautiful Prea, with it´s holiday vibe – everybody will find exactly what they need.

Safari do Brasil 1&3

The Safaris 1&3 do Brasil start in Taiba, only half an hour drive from the airport Fortaleza  and have three destinations. Taiba is still an insider tip for kitesurfers. This place offers a big lagoon and another wave-spot, as well as many tiny restaurants for all kinds of after session delight.

Afterwards we will take you to a mostly unknown spot, called Itaqui. Here you can find a massive languet with shallow water and even bigger waves further out on the sea.

The final sessions of the Safari 1&3 will take place in Prea. Prea is famous for it´s great and windy conditions. The relaxed vibe around this place is perfect to forget about everything else but your kite-holiday and invites you to make lifelong memories.

For all of you, who can´t get enough from the incredible nothern Brazil, we recommend you to combine the different Safaris with each other to make the best out of your unforgettable Safari-Experience.

Safari do Brasil 2

The Safari do Brazil 2 starts in Prea. This place is famous for it´s great and windy conditions. The relaxed vibe around this place is perfect to forget about everything else but your kite-holiday and invites you to make lifelong memories.

The next stop will be the mostly unknown Itaqui. In the west of Barra Grande you fill find a  beautiful bay with a calm shallow water spot, hidden by a massive languet. The other side of the languet is the perfect place for all types of wavecracks.

The Safari 2 ends in Taiba, one of the most popular lagoons in Brazil. There is a great chance that you meet some pro-kiters during wintertime. How does a session with Carlos Mario Bebe or Youri Zoon sound to you? Another benefit of Taiba is the only half an hour drive to Fortaleza, which makes transportation a lot easier.

For all of you, who can´t get enough from the incredible nothern Brazil, we recommend you to combine the different Safaris with each other to make the best out of your unforgettable Safari-Experience.

Accommodation during the safari

Rancho do Peixe

There is one type of accommodation in the Rancho do Peixe – the beautiful bungalows. These are divided into bungalows with a sea view and those without, the coconut bungalows. The latter are behind the dune in the garden of the pousada.

All buildings are built with wood from reforestation and natural materials from the local area. The concept is to combine sustainability with beauty. This unique flair is maintained in each room through handmade, exclusive furniture and decoration.  The roofs are made from Carnauba palm tree leaves they perfect the beautiful North East Brazilian exotic style.

Catering

The hotel has its own restaurant, a cocktail bar as well as a snack bar near to the kiteschool on the beach. Many of the ingredients used in the kitchen are homegrown from the organic garden. Their goal is to reach the best quality of food through sustainable and natural products.

The menu is varied offering a choice between drinks, snacks traditional Brazilian or international dishes. Everything is freshly made and, for healthy eaters and vegetarians there is a complete vegetarian menu available to choose from.

The beach bar is the meeting point for kitesurfers. Here you can get fast food, healthy snacks, light salads, refreshing drinks and a classic Brazilian acai.

Breakfast is included (in the price). For dinner we recommend the hotel restaurant or if you want a change Jeri has countless restaurants to offer.

Amarela Guesthouse

The Amarela Lagoon is a small green oasis, where you can choose between swimming in the pool or a break in the Bohemian hammock. Of course, the various stylishly and traditionally furnished rooms invite you to relax. The beach is only 2 minutes away, and the small lagoon is only 400 meters further down. A downwinder takes you to the village of Taiba, 15 minutes away, where you can quickly buy some souvenirs. Spend the evening with a good drink at the bar , or have dinner in the restaurant. Of course you can always watch the latest kite film in the open air cinema under palm trees. This little paradise combines action, absolute relaxation, community feeling and exactly the vibe we are looking for on our safaris!

Catering

The guesthouse has its own restaurant, as well as a bar where you can sip your way through the cocktail menu in the evening. The delicious breakfast is included. For a traditional dinner you walk only 15 minutes to the small fishing village of Taiba, or look forward to a pizza night in the guesthouse. The BBQ is also often used here and fresh fish or other meals are prepared. Having dinner all together, talking about everything that happened on the water during the day. Dream!

Vila Itaqui

20.000 square meter green area, a beautiful pool and typical Brazilian stilt houses right next to the beach are waiting for you in Itaqui.

Vila Itaqui offers 6 bungalows in total, which are built out of local wood and Carnaúban (a typical palm tree) straw and have an amazing ocean view. The super comfortable beds are a great, but nothing is better than a little down-time in the hammock after a tiring session. The bungalows stand out by their relaxing and privat atmosphere. You will understand this, once you checked in.

Catering

The restaurant offers fresh seafood, tropical cocktails and more original Brazilian specialties.  There is a private BBQ area and for those who would like a bit of intimate togetherness you can book a romantic private dinner in the tree house with fantastic views over the ocean.
