The Seafloor consists of fine sand without any annoying rocks or reef. From May till September the Albanian Alps in the south cater for super steady thermal wind that will hit the coast in the early afternoon with 18 to 25 knots. Some kilometers downwind there is a river mouth with perfect flat water. All the freestylers among you will find the perfect conditions over there to improve your skills.

Sicily, Italy:

+ Only 3 flying hours away
+ Huge, flat water lagoon and an unusual wind probability for Europe!
+ Season from March till November

Because of the proximity to Africa, the temperatures are warm and pleasant from March till November. There are two different wind systems which are responsible for the constant blowing wind on about 300 days a year! This is an unique wind probability for European conditions!

One of the biggest flatwater lagoons in Europe – throughout flatwater knee and waist high, that is Lo Stagnone from Marsala.

At the north-eastern end of the lagoon, you’ll find Santa Maria and the kite area. A complete kitesurf infrastructure consisting of a wide green area for setting up the equipment, launch and landing area, showers, storage and a restaurant. Everything is covered with the Kitepass which is included in all KiteWorldWide packages. Enjoy la Dolce Vita in Sicily!

Tarifa, Spain:

+ Spanish lifestyle, tapas and an epic nightlife
+ High wind probability and mild climate only three flying hours away
+ KiteWorldWide Town House Tarifa for a great community feeling
+ Season from March till November

Tarifa provides Surfer lifestyle at its finest, awesome parties and extremely tasty food! Through the Strait of Gibraltar, the wind is blowing almost all the time. Due to that reason, Tarifa is the kite hotspot of Europe!

Our main spot is at the beach of Los Lances, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the southern area of Spain. Next to our main spot, there are a lot of other places for kitesurfing suitable for kiter at all levels. Of course, it’s also possible to kitesurf at places other than our main spot. The KiteWorldWide team is here for you and would love to give you some tips!

Seahorse Bay, Egypt

+ Family like atmosphere at Ibi & Friends Kiteclub Seahorse Bay
+ Living right at the spot
+ Limited availability for more space on the water

Thanks to the large shallow-water area and the stable wind direction the spot is perfect for beginners. There is enough space in the lagoon as the number of students and storage slots is limited. This is why neither beginners nor advanced kiters feel restricted.

The shallow lagoon with sand and the fact that there are more than 70% windy days a year provides ideal conditions for unforgettable kitesurf sessions. Experienced kitesurfers can kitesurf independent of the tide in the so-called “pool” in the ocean.

Dakhla, Morocco

+ Luxury KiteWorldWide Villa Camp
+ shallow flat water spot and wave spots around the corner
+ New air links without overnight stoops

In Dakhla, you find the probably biggest flat water lagoon for kitesurfing.

The spot is influenced by ebb and flow, yet the low tide still leaves the lagoon with sufficient water and space for everyone. So this spot provides the maximum of safety for beginners and perfect conditions for freestylers. Even during the main season, when the camps on the other side of the lagoon are crowded, you will still have enough space for training on some new jumps.
The ground is sandy without any disturbing rocks or corals and the wind blows constantly and side-shore from the left.

Essaouira, Morocco

+ Great atmosphere in the old town-center of Essaouira
+ Save beginners spot with a shallow area
+ Great for wave beginners and advanced wave kiters, lots of different spots

Let yourselves get carried away by the Arabien nights in the old town of Essaouira!

From April till October, the strong dependable wind is amplified by thermal effects, are accompanied by reduced swell and, therefore, smaller waves. During this period, the wind comes down out of the north and is side-shore or side-onshore. Since the bay is bent, it is especially safe, because you always end up back on the sandy beach without any obstacles. Further out you’ll find waves with regular intervals, so you always have time to prepare for the next run. It’s even perfect for wave beginners. Essouira is a kite experience for kiters at all levels!

The main spot during summer is situated just a short trip by boat at a small headland. Kapverden: Sal

+ Learn to (wave-)kite surf from the world champion

+ the absolut perfect wave spot

+ Season from November to May

There are spots with side-onshore wind and small wind waves for intermediate kiters on the windward eastern side of the island. This is also where you’ll find the so-called Kite Beach and the new and stylish kite school of Mitu and Djo.

The spot Santa Maria in the south is a great, nearly perfect, beginner cove with flat water, so even freestyle kiters get their money’s worth. At the western part of Santa Maria is where you find Mitu and Djo’s professional kitesurfing school. This is also the only place in the bay of Santa Maria where you can kitesurf, as the wind comes in side-shore to side-onshore.

At the western corner of the bay, there is also an excellent wave spot. This is only recommended for proper kitesurfers, as the wind blows offshore. Those who don’t feel fit enough for the waves in Ponta Preta at the western part of the island should still check out this spot to check out the pros ripping the waves.

We wish you lots of sun, wind and outstanding kite sessions at our spring destinations!
