Logbook Entry #15 | Chin up!

Things never turn out the way you expect them to! Sadly, our captain Axel also had to experience that. Because of the dismasting of the Zest he is still stranded in Portugal. Certainly the atmosphere is not that cheerful. But we have good news! The mast is ordered, the wait is over soon! Hopefully. While waiting, Axel is trying to make the best out of his situation.

Axel spend a lot of time on the water and burned off a lot of energy! At least the wind means it well with him! Perfect conditions and kite fun at the highest level!

Even in Portugal the temperature decreased. Because of only 5° inside, Axel is in need of two down quilts to keep himself warm. Could be worse, says Axel.

This is bothering him even more: “The wetsuit remains to the original timetable. With it’s perforation it would be perfect for taking a bath but not for Portugal in winter. With needle and threat I could prevent the worst, but during the session yesterday I was still shaking in my boots…”

Beside all these back sets, Axel is not losing courage and is enjoying Portugal at least a bit. Always keep your head above the water!

As usual, you can see Axel’s current location on the map. His position hasn’t changed yet.
