Axel set sail to find the new perfect kitespot for you guys. And who could support him better doing that than our community itself? Here are the results of the December’s Voting. In the next weeks we’ll have a closer look at the Top 10, contact the operators and – if it fits to Axel’s route – send Axel or fly over ourselves. We announce the winner of the raffle on Facebook.
A KiteWorldWide spot is only a KiteWorldWide spot if it has certain attributes. Here’s an overview of aspects which are essential for a true KiteWorldWide spot.
An essential part for every KiteWorldWide journey is the unique community feeling. We put an extra focus on familial accommodations in rather small sizes. You start the day relaxed with a breakfast together at the big table and while away the evening with a cold beer in the rooftop bar.
Ideally everyone can enjoy our spots. The beginner, who’s happy about plenty of space to bodydrag through the bay and the freestyler who lets the edge glow in glassy flatwater conditions. If now also the wave kiter has a big smile on his face while surfing down the waves of the offshore reef – you can be sure that this could become a proper KiteWorldWide destination.
Palm bungalows in Kenya, an on corals build lodge on Zanzibar or a grand Mansion with rooftop pool in Cape Town – we’re always looking for individual accommodations on european standard. Moreover, we love the familial atmosphere which is created by a limit of max. 20 rooms.
At KiteWorldWide one thing stands in the spotlight: kitesurfing! A high chance of wind is one of the highest priorities at our spots. Moreover, we’re always looking for plenty of space on the water. Nobody likes to look around 3 times before every maneuver. Also next to the water, on the beach, we like to see enough space to build up and down without any troubles.
At all our spots we attach highest importance to the facilities and quality of our partners. The equipment, the courses and the training of the instructors are key aspects, which we check in regular periods at all our spots. If you suggest a spot, we’d love it if you could already give us an impression of the potential local partner kite school.
When looking for new spots, the relaxation factor is also very important. If you relax while surfing some waves after the kite session, explore the surrounding nature or enjoy a drink on the balcony while watching the sunset over the ocean. If you let out your last energy while playing beach soccer with the locals or exploring the night markets. A KiteWorldWide spot should always have the certain something, also apart from the water.
Our spots are always “off the beaten track”, far away from all kitesurf mass tourism. Still, we attach high importance to a comfortable arrival without 3-4 stopovers.
The Voting is over. We proudly present the Top 10!
