So at our Kenyan Kite Resort we offer introductory training courses as well as instruction for intermediate, and advanced kite surfers. In addition we offer full gear rental so you have a great time and have a go at kiting without making a big commitment.

Our Kenyan Kite Resort is located on southern east coast of Africa. The compound is centered on the lodge, which features a restaurant and common space for socializing. Surrounding the main building are three categories of lodging accommodations:

Coral Houses – These luxury bungalows feature two separate dwellings per unit. Each suite features a living room, bedroom, private bathroom and sea view terrace.

Makuti Cottages – Six traditional African cottages made of wood and covered with palm leaves line the beach. Each accommodates two people, offers comfy beading, and a spacious terrace overlooking the beach. Ample bathhouse facilities are shared among the cottages.

Lodge Apartments – For families and small groups we offer traditional hotel style suites each featuring two bedrooms and a private bath.

Half board always included!

All of our Kenyan Island packages include breakfast and dinner. No cheesy buffets here! Our in-house chef prepares fresh daily a wide range of delicious dishes. We do our best to accommodate all dietary preferences. Vegetarian? Pescatarian? Let us know what you prefer and we will do our best to put it on your table!

You can grab lunch and snacks whenever you want at our beach bar. There you’ll find staple African dishes as well as western staples such as sandwiches, burgers and seafood dishes, all at reasonable prices.

We built the KWW Kite Center because the conditions are perfect for teaching beginners and because our customers requested that lessons be offered. The water is only waist deep, and the sand is very soft.

To really make it a no-brainer to visit, we also added full gear rental. And we didn’t skimp on equipment. When you use our gear you’ll be riding Brunotti boards pulled by GIN Kites! Lessons are taught by professional instructors.

Instruction Courses

Beginners Kite Board Camp (5 days)

If you or a member of your party has never even hopped on a skateboard, then this three hour a day, five day course is will get you up and running. The course includes kite surfing theory and safety, gear orientation, kite-launching techniques, kite control, navigation on beach and in water, how to steer the board, make turns and more. As soon as your instructor deems students ready, they may continue to practice on their own at no extra cost.

Intermediate Kite Board Course (3 days)

For those who have not kiteboarded before, but have some experience with skateboarding, snowboarding, etc, we provide a more intense course of three eight-hour sessions.  During these sessions students will master the control techniques needed to have fun safely. 

Advanced Kite Board Course (3 days)

For kiteboarders who have mastered the basics and spent some time developing skills, we offer a two day advanced course.  This course covers techniques for jumps, advanced turns and other tricks. 

Refresh Course (1 day)

You already have some experience but haven't been on a kiteboard for some time and would like some instruction. In 3 hours we will get you to the point where you left last time you were kiteboarding.

Since we've got the Kenya Private Island Lodge in our kite holiday programme, more and more people asked us for Kite Beginner Courses and Lessons for Intermediate Kiters because the kite spot there with its sandy beach, only waist high water and soft ground is perfect for lessons.Also people asked for kite gear rental.

This was reason enough for us to install a brandnew Kite Center, fully equipped with Brunotti Kite Boards and GIN Kites starting November 2009.

There you will also find a licensed kite surf instructor at hand. You can rent and test new gear directly at the beachfront just a few meters away from your accomodation. No need for staying at a hotel away from the kite spot and also you will have no extra cost for storage.

This will also be the starting point for our 4x4 Jeep Kite Safaris. Come to Kenya, where a kite-safari still is a real safari a kite beaches, where noone has ever kited before.

Only a few minutes by car you and a short boat trip away from the KiteWorldWide Lodge, you'll find one of the best diving areas on this planet. 

We partner with an official PADI diving school led by a dutch couple. Selina und Harm are both PADI MSDT Dive & Emergency First Response Instructor. Both have worked as diving instructors worldwide for many years until they settled in Wasini Island. They offer various dives and dive lessons in different diving areas around Kisite and Wasini.Of course you can attain your official diving license here.

PADI Open Water: 400 € incl. teaching material, logbook and certificate
PADI Advanced Kurs: 350 € incl. 5 dives, teaching material and certificate

Advanced divers can take part in daily trips to various diving areas to the Marine National Park. These boat trips are available incl. incl. boat tour to the Park, Snacks and equipment. (75 € plus 15 € entrance to the park plus 30 € for one dive, or 55 € for 2 dives).

A holiday in Kenya without going on Safari is just like a kitesurfing holiday without wind..

We organize tours starting directly at the KiteworldWide Lodge and recommend a Safari tour of minimum 2 days with an overnight stay at a stunning Safari Lodge or Camp.

The offered Safaris all include:

- all transfers from / to the KiteWorldWide Lodge

- all National Park entrance fees and game drives

- overnight stays in double rooms including full board

- driver guide / drinking water

Deep-sea fishing (1 day) – We also feature a fully equipped fishing boat.  Spend a day at sea, mostly relaxing other than when you catch your dinner.  Then it’s back to the lodge where our chef will prepare your catch!

Village Tour (1/2 Tag)

Together with a local guide we discover the life of the people that live around the KiteWorldWide Lodge. You will visit a school have a chance to get to know something about the "real life" of the Kenyan people. Also find out about the history of the centuries old Baobab and visit some local (handycraft) shops.

Mangrove Tour (1/2 day) -- Discover the mangrove woods wildlife just a half hour boat ride away from the lodge.

Relaxing (1 to ? days) -- If you do anything, be sure to remember to spend some time doing nothing.  The Kenyan Kite Resort is a phenomenal place to learn and enjoy the sport of kite boarding.  But it’s also a fantastically quiet and peaceful place to simply decompress from the rest of life.  No traffic, no phones, no kids, no teachers – absolutely NO ONE is going to bother you!
