Kite WorldWide Mansion Cape Town
(Here you find information about the Event Camps in Cape Town)
What the 'bunny' mansion is to Hugh Heffner, since November 2012 the KiteWorldWide Mansion Cape Town is to kiters.
A rich, luxurious designer loft villa awaits you with stylish guest rooms, huge living room with kitchen, braai (BBQ) area, rooftop pool (from here you can see all the way from the spot to Table Mountain.)
The Mansion is located in Sunset Beach, just 100 meters from the beach and one of the best kitesurfing spots in Cape Town.
In addition there is a designated guide who tells you not only where to go kitesurfing, but also brings the guests together to make the best out of your stay and regularly coordinates fun activities with you. Also your non-kitesurfing company will welcome this; Cape Town is fun for everyone!
Of course you can also take kitesurfing courses - whether you are looking for beginner, intermediate or special courses, for example kitesurfing in the waves of Cape Town with some kitesurfing pros.
We have some wonderful Mercedes W123 cars directly in front of the door available for you. With these stylish classic cars you can get around the Cape, cruise to other spots and gain some great experience.

Program and support from KiteWorldWide guide
The entire kite season, from 1 November to 15 April there is a German KiteWorldWide guide with you on the spot. He knows everything there is to know about surfing, eating out and doing further activities in and around Cape Town.
Regularly we offer activities and excursions, where you can join in on the convoy with your stylish classic car.
Among other things we go to the Biscuit Mill Market for feasting and shopping, to Langebaan for kitesurfing and endulging yourself in the great fish and seafood experience at the beach restaurant. Further on we visit the cape, try different wine, go to the city or the east side of the peninsula to the Indian Ocean.
Your guide is also a well-informed partner when it comes to other, exhilarating activities. Skydiving, shark diving, helicopter flights - even in combat mode, paragliding, abseiling, bungee jumping. Who ever gets bored during their stay here, is to blame themselves.
The activities are timed for you to undertake activities in the morning and be back in time for the upcoming south easter wind at the Mansion.
In this way, also your non-kiter company has a lot to do on a Cape Town vacation.

Kitesurfing in Cape Town - Spots
The west coast, north of Cape Town offers a variety of spots for all tastes and skills. Since the wind is amplified there by different thermal and topographic effects, a distance of just a few kilometers already has a great impact on the conditions.
Right outside the door you will find the Sunset Beach, a spot that would actually be enough for a two-week kite trip. Depending on the swell, there are waves from one to several meters. Sunset Beach is more suitable for advanced kitesurfer. Unlike St. Peter Ording with its "choppy chaos", you will find nice, long, "glassy-flats" in between the waves. You can really take a run for the next wave kicker.
The bay starting on Sunset Beach runs approximately one mile long to Blouberg beach. This bay is again divided into different sections. The names you've probably heard before: Dolphin Beach, Table View, Kitebeach. You probably already noticed it: he next key word is downwinder...
Sunset is the perfect base for starting a downwinder up north.
Ahead of Blouberg beachyou will pass some heavy cliffs, only very experienced riders should pass here. Passing the cliffs you will get to the Big Bay with other conditions.
The wind starts at noon (so you can sleep late or relax in the morning exploring the area) and hits the south - homespot Sunset Beach - at first. Generelly the further north you go, the less wind.
Quite different conditions can be found at the shallow water spot of Langebaan. Here in about an hour drive from the Mansion, even beginners will find a beautiful lagoon area, but it can get busy, especially during high season.

Car rental in Cape Town - old school, stylish and reliable
You see, Cape Town KiteWorldWide is somehow different. So are the cars. Instead of a Japanese compact cruising car, here you have a chic classic car to roam through the city and to the spots.
Generally, a car is not absolutely necessary. We organize your airport transfer for you which is also already included in your package and your the kiting spot is right in front of your door. But the car is very cheap and you’ll be able to be independent.
The beautiful Mercedes W123 is probably the most stylish way to even drive through the Cape. And it is not only beautiful and classy - we have made it suitable for kitesurfers: large trunk, roof rack, navigation, iPod radio, and neoprene-friendly seat covers. Very important: Unfortunately, the cars you use during your vacation stay with us in the villa, you can not take it home ... ;)
The car will be waiting for you in front of the KiteWorldWide Mansion. In other words no stress at the airport organizing a rental car. Our local guide is also your contact for the car. Our partner rental company has mechanics in the area relevant, even all the way to Langebaan. Good to have if it should come to technical problems.
The cars are fully insured with a deductible of 300 €.
Please keep in mind, there now seems to be very strict rules in Cape Town which are strictly monitored and enforced.

Food and Night Life in Cape Town
Breakfast – as you wish
The Mansion offers you a large, well equipped kitchen. Of course included housekeeping that will take care of the dishes and daily cleaning. ;) In this way you are always completely flexible, you can eat whatever you want whenever you want. Only two minutes away by car, ten minutes by foot, you will find a great supermarket with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and everything else you need.
Food and dining in Cape Town
During our trip to Cape Town we had the idea of offering gourmet travel during low season - since the quality of food at the restaurants in and around Cape Town is just amazingly good. When you experience it, you will very unlikely be keen on dining in a hotel or preparing something by yourself. You will not be able to prepare such great meals for a lower price than offered in the restaurants. Here the food is not cheap, but for its quality extremely low priced.
You can get perfectly grilled 300 g beef fillets for twelve Euros, seafood plates for less than ten Euros and a delicious bottle of wine from South Africa for five Euros. Several times a week, we will reserve seats in the best restaurants in town and who wants to go out and dine in a group is always invited to join.
Once a week we organize a typical South African Braai (BBQ) in the garden of the Mansion.
In addition we offer „gourmet- happenings" – for example the Old Bisquit Mill market every Saturday Morning or a ten course meal with fish and seafood in an amazing beach restaurant called Strandloper located in Langebaan.
Surely all those activities are perfectly timed so that you have enough time for burning as much calories on the water as you can.
Going out and Nightlife
Everyone who has enough power left, will get one's money worth in the evening and night. During the summer months (our winter) Cape Town is the advertising – and film Mecca. Top Models and staff of the production companies get the party started in Camps Bay. And along the Long Street pubs, clubs and bars are right next to each other.

Activities & Excursions
Cape Town is more than a holiday - and more than 'just' surfing. The claim of the city is not in vain: "you don`t need a holiday, you need Cape Town."
Incredible nature experiences with a great countrylife and wildlife, ranging from beautiful beaches to vineyards, from penguins to whales.
The south easter wind begins at noon so you have enough time to finally try everything you've ever wanted. Our local guide provides you with helpful tips on how to explore the countless adventures on your own.
Trips to countless wineries including wine tasting, to the Cape of Good Hope, on the Table Mountain, or even a safari with a “Big 5” guaranty create also non-kitesurfers an unforgettable holiday.
Further more you can find all extreme sports you can imagine. Skydiving from a drop zone located 20 min. away, abseiling from the Table Mountain, paragliding, speedboat drives, helicopter flights - even in the action-packed combat mode - the highest bungy jump of the world.
The South-Easter wind begins at noon so you have enough time to finally try everything you've ever wanted.

Getting there - flights to Cape Town for kitesurfers and airport transfers
Particularly interesting for us kitesurfers: From November 2012 there will be direct flights twice a week from Frankfurt with Condor. You can book these flights, but please note that there are additional costs for your sports equipment with some air lines (e.g. with the Lufthansa feeder flights). Therefore, we recommend an affordable Rail & Fly to Frankfurt.
There are many airports in Germany, Austria and Switzerland through various scheduled airline such as British Airways, Swiss, KLM, Air France, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Air Namibia, Alitalia, and more which fly to Cape.
From Munich, Lufthansa also offers direct flights.
If you fill the quote form on the right we will look for the best flight for you taking into account how much luggage, including sports equipment registration, you will have.
The airport transfer takes about 20 - 40 minutes and is free for guests of the KiteWorldWide Mansion Cape Town!
