Sun, perfect temperature, good wind potential, a lot of space in the lagoon and a chilled atmosphere- these are the basic conditions for KiteWorldWide and Ibi & Friends’ kitesurfing events in the Seahorse Bay.

The motto for all kitesurfing events is “All you can learn”. For absolute beginners or advanced kitesurfers, you can join the event with your own equipment or rent equipment. In a one week intensive training course there will be three kitesurfing instructors for a maximum of 15 beginners. On site, the group is divided according to their level in order for each kitesurfer to be individually tailored in their group.

For six hours a day, the students will learn everything they could ever dream of from the VDWS licensed kitesurfing instructors.  Additionally there will be video analyzing, photo shooting and a great program including event outings, in particular, to El Gouna or Hurghada, as well as bonfires and  kitesurfing movie nights.

Kitesurfing Events Include:
•    7 Nights at booked accommodation (half board or all inclusive)

Special Kitesurfing Learn Events

In order to gather people with even more than just kitesurfing connecting each other, we’ve came up with the special kitesurfing events. Some of these focus on kitesurfing for woman with power, others are for the many of you still staying young but already passed the 30ies:) Of course we also have a special week for the ones who want to progress their freestyle skills!

Our brand-new Kite Club is located right at the spot on a private lot of about 1400 m². Along with the kite villa, there’s a large garden which is kept nice and neat with direct access to the beach and the spot. You’ll find showers here along with hammocks and other chilling possibilities which are perfect for relaxing after kite sessions.

Right next to the entrance to the beach is our storage area where you can store your own arge. It also offers the perfect atmosphere for hanging out with people just like you. In the evenings, you can chill at the fire ring in the garden after a long day of kitesurfing having a chat about your days' experiences.

The focal point of the Kite Club is spread out over 200 m²: The kite villa with the large terrace around it. There’s also a small bar here where you can enjoy tasty snacks with alcohol-free drinks like Egyptian tea at wholesale prices. Additionally, there is a reading corner in the chill out area, satellite TV, and a DVD player for recordings from your day on the water or movies. A changing room with warm showers and restroom and, of course, safes for your private valuables.

There are also small items such as harnesses, boardshorts, and wetsuits available for purchase in the small shop. Due to the comfortable and open layout of the villa, you’ll have the feeling that you’re in a good friend’s living room and not at a kitesurfing center – absolutely perfect.

The Kite Club Seahorse Bay offers up to 25 kitesurfers to store their gear (kite service), kite gear rental, and kitesurfing lessons with professional and VDWS licensed instructors in an exclusive and nice atmosphere.

Due to the limited number of guests, you’ll have more than enough space on the water and the beach.

The gear available at the Kite Club is from the recent season. You can choose between kites and boards from F - one (Bandit 5), Slingshot (Volt, Z, Rally, RPM), NORTH and Spleene Twintips und Doors.

In the Seahorse bay you can choose between three different accommodations, all situated within short walking distance of the Kite Club. Whether you want half board, flull board or all inclusive, here you find it all!

Kite Club Seahorse Bay

The first three rooms in Kiteclub were in such high demand that we decided with the operators to build five brand new rooms on the site of the Kiteclub. Starting August 1st , 2012 a total of eight rooms at Kiteclub have been available. Due to the close location to the spot, you can easily and literally go from “bed to board”. 

No way to live closer to the spot!

The eight rooms include air conditioning, ventilation, a closet, night table, refridgerator, Sat-TV, DVD player,  hair dryer, safe and free WiFi. Six of the rooms include their own bathroom and the other two rooms share a bathroom and shower.

Half board is included in your stay at the Kite Club accommodation. The breakfast contains a rich variety of different drinks, bread, croissants, yoghurts, fruit salads, cornflakes, different spread and also different types of sausages and cheese. The daily dinner offers a choice between two till three different main courses with varying starters and desserts.

In the lounge at the Kite Villa, which the guests of the Kite Club use every day, you can find a pool- and football table. Furthermore, you have the possibility to purchase a minor but fine range of kite accessories, like board shorts, harnesses and rash guards.

In the Kite Club’s generous garden, sun beds and other comfy seating will be awaiting you, naturally free of charge. The oriental corner with fireplace and water pipes invites to a nice chill-out session after hours of kiting.

Calimera Club Hotel Hurghada – All inclusive right next door

This hotel is located south of the kite centre at the hotel’s own private and beautiful sandy beach, right next to the kite spot. It takes a five minutes walk along the beach to the Kite Club.

The large club hotel consists of a main building with several annexes and bungalows around. It has a reception area with a lobby (safes available for a fee), a bar, main restaurant and an Italian and Middle East à la carte restaurants, elevators, disco and an amphitheater.

There is also a professional diving school on site. Moreover, the hotel is perfect for beach holidays, especially with children with shallow water.

Within the club resort, you’ll find an attractive pool area as well as a sun terrace with sun beds and umbrellas (included in the price).

Non-kiters and children can choose between a number of alternative activities. For example the in-house kids’ club, which will entertain the children while mom and dad are flying our the water just near-by.

All rooms are comfortably decorated with a bath, hair dryer, air conditioning/heater, telephone, satellite TV and a mini fridge. It is also possible to book rooms especially made for family needs.

The all inclusive package includes large buffets in different restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner and even snacks between 7:00am and midnight. You can also get all national alcoholic drinks between 10:00am and midnight, as well as soft drinks.

Seahorse Bay Pension

The little pension is characteristically run by a German emigrant, our Erika. It is situated directly on the private, fine sandy beach and spot next to the Kite Club Seahorse Bay.

From the heated fresh water pool you can follow the wind and the kiters on the water. Next to, the pool bar provides you with fresh cool beverages. Comfortable sun beds with mattresses and beach towels beside the pool or on the beach are included in the stay at Kite Club Seahorse Bay.

The rooms are all lovingly equipped with a satellite TV, air conditioning, safe, hair dryer, minibar, a small sitting corner and a bathroom with shower/WC. The pension is on three sides surrounded by the Red Sea, giving you the feeling of living “in” the spot, and not “on” the spot. You won’t get any closer to a spot without becoming wet feet!

The beaches around the Kite Club Seahorse Bay are ideal for playing some beach volleyball or just enjoying the sun.

Usually the regular excursions to Cairo or Luxor with the Valley of the Kings are offered. You can book these locally with our team, i.e. if you don’t have much wind one day.

The Red Sea is also known for its beautiful diving areas and diving or snorkeling trips. KiteWorldWide guests can get snorkeling gear for free from our Kite Club. Diving excursions or lessons are available at the diving school five minutes away – which has its own diving boats that start right at Calimera.
